Residual hardness monitoring in water treatment
Residual hardness monitoring for process water is an essential part of water treatment in hospitals. It enables continuous control of the water hardness during the entire treatment process. Water hardness, which measures the magnesium and calcium content in water and is determined in German degrees of hardness (°dH), is a decisive factor here.
In hospitals, it is particularly important to ensure optimum water hardness in order to guarantee the functionality and longevity of medical equipment. Excessive water hardness can cause limescale deposits in complex medical devices, which impairs their efficiency and reliability. Conversely, too little water hardness (soft water) can lead to faster wear of metallic components and make the water more corrosive, which can also reduce the service life of the devices.
Our Testomat® EVO TH, which ensures extremely precise residual hardness monitoring, is particularly noteworthy. Alternatively, we offer the Testomat® 808, which also ensures reliable residual hardness monitoring. These devices guarantee that water treatment in clinics always meets the highest standards and that medical equipment is optimally protected.
